Problems that clients face with this type of injury and what the law says.
Injuries to the upper limbs can range from a sprained wrist to a very serious injury such as dislocation and broken bones, or even partial loss, which can have the affect of reducing the individual to complete helplessness.
In the most severe cases where amputation is necessary, your personal injury solicitor should only settle if the following factors have been considered: whether there is a possibility of using a prosthetic limb, whether previous attempts have been made to save the limb, how traumatic the experience of losing the limb will be for the individual concerned and the point of amputation on the arm.
